What You Will Learn

By the End of this Course, Students will (Insha Allah) be able to:

  •   Explain the schedule of Hajj, stating what acts of worship occur on which days.
  • State the essentials, obligations, recommended acts, disliked acts, forbidden acts, and nullifiers of Hajj.
  • Describe what someone should do if they are obstructed from completing their Hajj or Umrah journey, and the appropriate expiations.
  • List the virtues of visiting Medina, the Prophet's Mosque (ﷺ), and his grave (ﷺ).

وَأَذِّن فِى ٱلنَّاسِ بِٱلْحَجِّ يَأْتُوكَ رِجَالًۭا وَعَلَىٰ كُلِّ ضَامِرٍۢ يَأْتِينَ مِن كُلِّ فَجٍّ عَمِيقٍۢ

And proclaim to the people the ḥajj [pilgrimage]; they will come to you on foot and on every lean camel; they will come from every distant pass
 (Qur'an, 22:27)

Course Instructor

Sheikh Maqsood Siddiqui

Maqsood Siddiqui was born in London, England but lived most of his life in the United States, where he completed his primary, secondary, & university education. He has traveled abroad in search of Islamic knowledge and studied with various scholars in Egypt and Saudi Arabia, obtaining ijaza’s in several books of hadith. He graduated with a Bachelors degree from the College of Shari'ah at Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University in Riyadh, KSA.
